In recent years, peer working between headteachers in different educational institutions has diminished – this programme is designed to change that.
Now open to all state-funded schools in the region including academies and maintained schools, the Leaders’ Learning Exchange is a dynamic new opportunity for school leaders to connect meaningfully beyond their own settings. Through working in structured triads, hosting reciprocal visits, and coaching-led reflection, this programme creates a space for innovation, professional challenge, and mutual support.
All participating schools will attend a launch event to agree on ways of working and trial programme tools and resources.
Schools are placed in triads and take part in reciprocal visits throughout the academic year. These visits focus on identifying impactful practices and exchanging insights.
The programme requires engagement in a total of three half-day school visits (of which you will host one) plus preparation time for each visit.
Each visit is underpinned by coaching conversations, informed by the work of Sir Jim Knight, that focus on learning, growth, and deepening professional practice.
This programme is designed for:
The programme is completely free of charge for any school wanting to join.
To apply we ask schools to complete our online form which asks for details about your and your school. Allow about 20 minutes to complete this because the details we gather help to ensure we place you with the right triad when joining the programme.
