Since 2012 Inspiring Leaders has been a leading provider of National Professional Qualifications in the region with over 4000 teachers accessing training through our partnership. In 2021 there has been a reformation of the suite of programmes available and the delivery mechanisms. Inspiring Leaders now acts as a regional partner with the Foundation for Educational Leadership and supports the development of the new NPQs in the region.
Flying High Teaching School Hub
In partnership with the Foundation for Educational Leadership.
The new NPQ suite consists of 6 qualifications; reforming the 3 existing NPQs in senior leadership, headship and executive leadership and replacing the current NPQ in middle leadership with 3 new NPQs for teachers and leaders who want to develop their expertise in specialist areas of teaching practice.

In addition, the revised suite of NPQs has been refreshed to reduce the workload burden on teachers while still having the opportunity to develop and apply their knowledge, skills and understanding.
As the Lead Provider, the Foundation for Educational Leadership has defined and designed the content and structure of the NPQ programmes, guided by a content framework from the DfE. Inspiring Leaders, in partnership with Flying High Teaching School Hub and Redhill Teaching Hub will lead on the delivery aspect in the locality.
National Professional Qualification for Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)
The NPQLTD programme is for teachers who lead, or are aspiring to lead, the development of other teachers in their school. They may have responsibilities for the development of all teachers across a school or specifically trainees or teachers who are early in their career.
Cost: £799+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
The NPQLT programme is for teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading teaching in a subject, year group, key stage or phase.
Cost: £799+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
National Professional Qualification for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)
The NPQLBC programme is for teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading behaviour and/or supporting pupil wellbeing in their school.
Cost: £799+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders (NPQSL)
This programme is for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities.
Cost: £999+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
National Professional Qualifications for Headship (NPQH)
The National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) provides a unique opportunity to grow as a leader. This programme is for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to become, a headteacher or head of school, with responsibility for leading a school.
Cost: £1599+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL)
This programme is for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, an executive headteacher or have a school trust-wide role with responsibility for leading several schools. This includes those with trust-wide responsibility for aspects of trust development (e.g. Head of School Improvement, Director of Education etc.), and executive leadership in non-academy contexts – such as Federations and other school groupings.
Cost: £3799+VAT. Scholarships may apply but we are still awaiting confirmation from the DfE on this.
