Redhill Academy Trust

As a locally based Trust we take pride in serving our communities. We have a clear purpose of improving children’s futures and contributing to positive social mobility in the region.

About Redhill Academy Trust

Redhill Academy Trust is a thriving and ambitious community of schools providing a broad spectrum of education for children and young people across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The origin of Redhill Academy Trust lies with The Redhill Academy, an outstanding secondary school in Arnold, Nottingham. The Trust has now grown to encompass 16 academies across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, providing excellent education for over 11,000 children in nursery, infant, junior, secondary and post-16 settings.

Mission

Our mission is to ensure that all children, whatever their background and starting points, have the opportunity to achieve their full potential, both in terms of academic achievement and character development.

We are determined to support the local communities we serve by providing excellent, high-achieving academies that will help transform lives and life chances.

The Redhill way

Support for the individual

We offer high-quality teaching backed by systems that carefully track students’ progress. This allows us to give our students the support they need to be the best they can be.

We encourage and support an ethos that celebrates achievement, determination and effort.

We celebrate diversity and fiercely promote and defend equality. We are proud that our academies are great places in which to work, learn and grow.

Leadership and character building

We develop students’ leadership skills by offering opportunities to lead other students through our House system.

The Redhill Pledges motivate students to become involved in music, the performing arts, sport, charitable work and community support.

We value student voice in helping us shape and improve the whole student experience in our academies.

Training and developing teachers and leaders

Excellent teaching is the cornerstone of every school’s success. We therefore invest heavily in teacher training and professional development.

Trust Subject Directors support middle leaders across our schools and Lead Practitioners help develop pedagogy and effective planning through working with groups or individual staff.
