Established in 2014, our annual conference brings together education leaders and practitioners from across the sector to engage in meaningful collaboration and shared learning. In a time when the challenges and opportunities in education are ever-evolving, our conference provides a vital space for connecting, exchanging insights, and driving innovation together.

‘This event is the first thing in my CPD calendar each year, for me and my leadership team. Every year I come away feeling inspired and ready to take on the world.’

Our two-day residential conference is considered a key CPD event for our partners who value the opportunity to share and network with colleagues from across the Inspiring Leaders community. The conference is designed and curated by our partners ensuring we provide our leaders with the right learning to inspire their thinking.
In times of change, now more than ever it is essential that school leaders have clear aims and philosophy, a vision for their schools and rise to the challenges our system presents. Our Conference gives leaders a clearly defined space and time to think, discover, explore, share and rejuvenate with like-minded people from across the region.
Through a programme of internationally recognised key notes, quality workshop leaders and local research informed practice, we aim to support delegates to develop and clarify this vision.
Past keynote speakers have included Dylan William, Kriss Akabusi, Matthew Syed, Maggie Alphonsi, Saeed Atacha, Sir John Jones, Steve Munby, Steve Radcliffe, Andy Buck, Mary Myatt, Estelle Morris, James Kerr, Laura McInerley and Alex Quigley.
Celebrating 10 years of our leadership conference, this year’s conference explores courageous leadership. We’re drawing inspiration from those within and beyond the education sector.
As leaders in our schools and MAT community, we recognise the critical role courage plays—especially during uncertain times. Whether it’s leading ourselves or guiding others, now is the perfect moment to reflect on the importance of courage.
This year’s confirmed keynote speakers include:
Diana Osagie, School Leadership Coach, Author
Sir Daniel Moynihan, CEO of Harris Federation
Viv Grant, Director of Integrity Coaching, Inspirational Speaker
Ben Smith, Social Entrepreneur, Award-winning Global Adventurer
Mary Storrie, CEO and Founder of the Rosie Mary Foundation
This year’s conference will be held from 21st – 22nd November 2024 and will be hosted at St George’s Park in Burton on Trent, the iconic home to all 23 England’s national football teams.
Our sponsors help to make this event a reality. We are thrilled to be supported by some wonderful partners who work closely with our schools and MATs to support their smooth running.
